[:1]I'm a melee sorc fanatic and love playing d2 as my melee sorc.
I've have made about 10 melee sorcs so far and I've my own build now, and as part of that build I've always been using Magus' Skin for its: 20ias, 100ar.
But I wonder if it can get better.
So I was wondering if rare/crafted gloves can have BOTH IAS and 100ar as mods. (w/ res suffixes + mana, if possible)
But both IAS and AR in one rare/crafted gloves, is it possible???
If so how??
I've never seen one b4.|||You can get small amounts of AR (10-20ish), but not 100.|||You can also get +dexterity, which'll provide some boost to your AR. But like stephan said, getting a sizable amount of +AR isn't really possible.
Have a look at combining the gloves, boots and/or belt of Immortal Kings set though. Lots of AR and IAS and other goodies too. It's too bad they're a little heavy for many melee sorcs though.|||ic.. to use ik set, ive to give up spiders so i think ill stick w/ magnus. thanks!|||Why would you have to give up spider's? Use nosferatu's with IK. Seems like the best combination honestly. Sure you lose +1 skills, but I've tried using drac's/waterwalks and all sorts of things. IK gloves/boots is surprisingly a really good combination for melee sorc. It seems a little jenky to use a lot of set items, but the mods are what matters mosts. I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a unique/rare/crafted glove/boot combo to compare with IK.
The 15+25% ias on the boots/belt/gloves combo also gives you some options for armor. You can use a 24fhr armor with 4 sockets, and then put 2 ias/ar or 2 ias/res jewels, a cham and a fhr/ar (or fhr/res) jewel to give max out your ias with zeal and a phase blade, while also not sacrificing on your resistances at all.
You also get the coveted cannot be frozen, thus allowing you to use two angelic rings instead of a ravenfrost.
And this combo could give you potentially 45@res, which is almost as good chains of honor - which is what a lot people use. Honestly, 31% fhr, cannot be frozen, 45%res and 30% ias looks like a great armor to me.
