Does the Demon Limb Enchant trick still work?

I tried using the search, but I was never able to find a definitive answer to this for the current version of the game.

Does enchanting yourself with Demon Limb and having maxed Warmth and Fire Mastery still give you the synergy bonus? Also, if so, is it worth it?

I'll be making a melee Enchantress using Passion, and an Act II Holy Freeze merc. I've always wanted to try this build.

It seems like the fire damage you could reach using your own pre-buffed Enchant would be decently larger than you could do using the Demon Limb. I figured though, with Demon Limb, I'd have the points to max Thunderstorm and Lightning Mastery.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Kit|||Yes it works. If it is worth depends on what you are going to do with those 20 points. Spending them on Thunderstorm wouldn't be my first pick, but if that's your thing.|||As far as I know you get the synergies, but you would be far better off skimping on fire mastery and pumping enchant; you'll want the AR. Lightning will be your big damage either way (even with my level 54/~ 5.5k enchant sorc prebuffing a 20 hard point fire mastery dual dream sorc) and enchant's AR is tremendously helpful.

So IMO: max enchant, max lightning mastery, max warmth, skimp on thunderstorm and fire mastery. Or use a second key and make a sick enchant sorc... but I fear that may be BM for dueling. :P|||As a note, I only ever play single player hardcore, I don't really MF, and I never trade.

After comparing some numbers, and especially seeing the ease with which I, even with my mediocre gear, could reach Level 30 or beyond Enchant... it would seem prudent to max it myself, especially for the massive pre-buff.

I'll probably concentrate on having a sick Enchant and let my merc handle physical damage. I'll probably go Act II Holy Freeze as opposed to an Act V.
