Ive started a meteorb sorc this ladder season and haven't played since 1.09 so these ladder runewords are new and very intriguing to me.|||spirit is the most commonly used shield for casters now... although you can't say it's "better" than stormshield because it doesn't have any +% block or DR%.
basically the only reason to not use spirit is if you're going maxblock.|||Thanks, that makes perfect sense. Looks like I need to find a 4os monarch asap|||magefist + perf spirit + tal set gives you 105 fcr, its awesome for teleporting, I dont really like max block on sorc, they arent suppose to get hit anyway.|||SS on a sorc is really only for melee non-Dream sorcs and for HC|||SS is useless on 95% of softcore sorc builds. The mods on spirit are too good for a sorc to pass up.|||Definitely agree. SS is king if you're building a max block / damage reduction tank sorc.

So Meph doesn't instantly go "Y HALO THAR" to my merc (atleast not until the massive slowdown by Kelpie + Blackhorn takes effect) and cost me 50k everytime Meph's AI is functioning so it wants to kill my merc instead of just hover around?
|||I tank him alright with my Vita Tals sorc (no block, no BO, but 1400+ life and max resists) for the same reason. Meph is no tough MoFo, the reason he kills mercs so fast is because they take additional damage from bosses. His only strong attack is the blue frozen ball, that he doesn't use when you're close.|||Spirit monarch is the way to go for fcr and fhr. SS is more for block and dr type thing.
