A little request.

Someone should make a "Starting fresh in a new ladder for dummies" sort of guide for the new ladder, because I for one have no idea what im going to do or how to become even a little successful during these hectic times. Basically, how do i start with a level 1 fire or ice sorc, and end up with a level 90 paladin with fortitude, grief, and so on? A step by step instructional. As far as I know you can't respec a sorceress into a paladin. |||A couple of my simple tips:

Browse thru the Arreat Summit, get an idea of what low level runewords you can make to boost your new character. For instance, I will be shopping for 2 socket Staves so I can make a starter Leaf runeword, and most likely a Stealth and a Lore as well.

Basically you first want a character that can quickly starting finding gear for your goals... which is why many people choose Sorc (since you can tele past the harder parts of the game, and quickly get to Loot Pinata Bosses like Mephisto).

Once you have that first character established, I am sure you will want to make something like a 1pt Smiter/Zealot for doing the Ubers, since Torches will be in high demand and will help accumulate wealth. I also consider making something like a Fishymancer Necro for finding socketable items in Hell, since they are so easy to play. Necro isn't a necessity by any means, and you could really use almost any zero MF character to accomplish the same thing... the important thing is that you have a way to find yourself things like Archon Plates, Monarchs, 4 and 5 socket Eth Elite Polearms, etc.

1) MF runs for starter gear

2) Make a char to run Ubers for Torches

3) Make or use an existing char to run Hell areas for socketables.

Simple little starter formula that might help you out some =p
