Sorc Hell Gear

Recently I've been running NM Countess, Andy, Duriel and Meph a lot with my Sorc. I have done over 1000 runs the last two weeks, but I'm stuck on NM for now. I was wondering what gear I should aim for to start running the same bosses in Hell (so Hell Count, Andy, Duriel and Meph).

Currently I'm specced Meteorb, lvl 88. My gear at the moment is:

- Tal Mask

- Sarachen

- Tal Weapon

- Wealth Armor

- Spirit

- Magefist,

- Tal belt

- War Traveler,

- Nagel / Raven Frost

And I got a Merc with Insight, Shaftstop and Tal Mask.

What gear should I aim for, before I start running Hell bosses, and should I respec lightning/blizzard or should I stay Meteorb?

With those items you can run all those without serious problems. Merc gets killed quite often at least against Duriel/Meph.

Elite insight polearm (if not already for merc)

Full Tal is best but meanwhile wizzy+spirit35 (and magefist) gives nicely 105fcr and resist.

I have almost as good items as you and I run Hell Dia(1-4 players)/Baal (solo) without problems. Against Dia I don't need resist, but against Baal I use wizzy (to kill those souls).|||Thanks for the input. BTW, what is your spec DH Amazon? Because I'm thinking about respeccing Blizz or Light, since the kill speed as a Meteorb is quite low. The high resistances on bosses is what troubles me the most TBH, but I imagine that speccing single elemental would greatly increase my kill speed, especially speccing Blizz, because of the Cold Mastery that lowers resistances.|||Quote:

I started as pure lightning (eld/shenk/arcane/tower etc... runs).

Then I was Blizz-Fireball (strong Blizz ~65 points in cold tree and ~30 points in fire tree). That one I like a lot, easy to do Diablo, Andy, Meph, tower.

After I found Wizzy, I changed to Blizz-Lightning (weak blizz, 25 points in cold tree and 73 points in lightning tree). With this I hunt all 3 keys. (2nd dkey run and cham dropped). With this setup I can solo Dia/Baal too. Strong blizz is much better if you hunt just bosses.

Blizz is great, drop ~50-60 points in it, then try at field against bosses, if it kills fast enough then you have 30-40 points for 2nd attack (fire). If not then add 10 points more and try again.

I wanted weak fireball against immunes in tower and against immunes in chaos. Merc kills those too, but wanted to speed killing a bit. With ~60 points in blizz I didn't have any problems against bosses, so that was good enough for me.

I have collected 3 tokens, so I can respect again, when I have enough keys.|||This Blizz-Lightning build sounds interesting, I'm thinking about speccing that way. I also got a Wizzy, and I think I can do Key runs fairly fast that way. Maybe even throw in Andy and Meph. I will respec in a couple of days and let you know what I think. Thanks for the advice!

Thx, after Cham still 5 items missing.

I like this current sorc. That weak blizz is still strong enough to kill those lightning immunes in Chaos or Souls while clearing Throne. Kills also those snakes near Nihlathak (3 dkeys so far) and archers in tower.

I still miss basic items, like shako, vipermagi or magefist but eventually those drops too.|||perhaps replace the Wealth with a Viper?

in any case, full tals with 105 fcr is awesomesauce for pvm.|||I've been trading some items, and currently this is my equipment:

- Shako (PTopaz)

- Wizardspike

- Skullders (PTopaz)

- Spirit Monarch (only 27 fcr)

- Sarachen

- Magefist (upped)

- Arachnid

- War Travelers

- 2x Nagel

My merc got: Tal Helm, Grim Reaper and Shaftstop.

I've been running Hell Countess, Andy, Summoner, Meph and Nihlathak. Only Nihla gives me some trouble sometimes, but nothing too bad. My MF is around 350, which I think is good enough. I probably could get some more MF, but I guess it would slow down my speed, so I think I just stick with it for now.

I still need a Mara though, and Andy's for my Merc. And ofcourse I need an Anni and Torch. I'm hoping I can trade them in a few days.

I'm still specced Meteorb btw. I tried Lightning/Frozen Orb, and I could do key runs rather easy, but I had a lot more trouble against Andy and Meph. And since I'm not only focusing on key runs, I deceided to spec Meteorb again.

Thanks for the input all! Really helped me out a lot.|||I was in the same position. Respec Blizz if you want to kill the bosses in hell fast. place one and tele around, you can't beat it for the bosses in my opinion.
