Need advice on tele security

[Feel free to skip this intro paragraph]

Gosh, I wonder what chr I will be forced to play as the ladder resets? Sorc, obviously, as the game apparantly rewards us for skipping 99% of the content by teleing. Normally, I hate playing cookie cutters, but after a decade of slowly walking to the Chaos Sanc manually, I am finally giving in and playing a teleing sorc so I can just do the seals and Diablo, thus making my ladder crawl easier. Everyone has a breaking point.

Ok, so what do you people do in order to ensure safe teleing in crowded places like Chaos Sanc? Pick out the combinations of things you employ from this list:

-max block?

-one point in shiver armor?

-FHR? How much? Needed at all?

-105 FCR vs 200?

-faster block rate? Needed at all?

-any other tactics, like the art of knowing where to click when teleing ?

My goal is to never die (or even better, never take a hit) when teleing. As we all know, you can lose a lot of exp in later levels and get naked with a stranded bod from dieing in a mob surrounded by other skipped mobs.

So if I have 200 FCR, does this alone ensure I will never take a hit when teleing? Or, if I use 105 FCR, what else do I need to ensure safety?

And, is a bit of lag an automatic death sentence while teleing?|||I'm using a simple vitality build. The important points are FHR and FCR. 200 fcr is an overkill in my opinion, you're sacrificing too much just to be one frame faster. 86/142 fhr is easily attainable and it is faster than blocking (without fbr).

That's all assuming you're using a spirit monarch. There are blocking shields (basically visceratuant and stormshield) you can use, too, but that's sacrificing firepower for survivability.

You can also try mana shield, but I really have no experience with it, so don't take this advice for granted |||a great deal of this guide is concerned with safe teleporting. even if you dont follow the build, read the guide for some helpful tips.|||I've built Tals Mateorb with both Max Block (around 1200 life with uped Viscerataunt, 63 FCR) and Spirit (over 1400 life, 105 FCR) They're both viable and there is not much of a difference. I ended up sticking with the later, even if I think block is a bit more safer, because of the added speed and firepower. The guide crawling posted taught me a lot about safe teleporting. If you're going to essentially solo Chaos I recomend going with Cold as your main skill. Blizzard/Fireball is the best IMO, though Orb as primary is also viable.|||Ok, thanks. That guide seems to detail everything about it.|||Try tele into seis pack with stormshield max block sorc, then with spirit vit sorc. The evidence speaks for itself.|||Don't tell me. I once was reckless enough to leave my block sorc (the one above) into a pack of Fanatic Cursed Frenzytaurs with just a sliver of health. It resisted more than 5 seconds. I really vouch for block for added survivability. It's just that people with more experience can survive as much or quite as much with Spirit, and then they prefer the added killing speed provided by it.|||added killing speed? i dont see how one measly skill point (over visc) can provide that much more speed.|||Yes, but it's tempting to have a higher LCS listed damage ;-) Don't forget you're also limited to the 9fpc breakpoint with Tals and max block|||Get your FHR and FCR as high as possible, that's all I have to say. Blocking isn't needed if you can get around before they can give you a good whack. Even if they score a hit you'll get away easily.

Also, why the heck would you teleport on Lord Dr. Seus and his fanatic powered pawns...? That sounds like a flawed strategy
