Cl/Orb

I play online and like to play solo because I hate the bots or just play with friends and I did fine all the way through nightmare, but in hell even in single player I can do it, but it's super slow. Looking for a way to increase the rate at which I kill.

I know my gear isn't great I just started replaying and the highest rune I have right now is a vex and I don't have any great pieces to trade away. I don't have a torch or anni. I'm not glued to the cl/orb build its just what I used to play, but if I could deal more damage quietly in another build I'm up for ideas. Any help would be great.|||You're basically looking at equipment upgrades to see improvement. You could also consider MeteOrb (FB/FO) but ultimately you'd still be wanting equipment upgrades anyway. Damage between builds is mostly dependent on what you kill, as immunities will decide if one build is faster than the other.

Once you can afford pure lite - that would be an extreme change from the killing speed you're used to, but I wouldn't count on fully equipping for that in a long while.|||Thanks for the input SeCKSEgai. I guess I'll have to run the countress some more and hope for decent rune drops.|||Are you on Ladder? Vex is enough to buy you everything you need, and then some...CL/FO wants full Tals, Magefist, a 35FCR Spirit, 2 10FCR rings, and War Travelers (for MF) or Aldurs boots (for maxed resists and 40 FRW). None of those is expensive at all.|||Quote:

That's also a good point - when splitting between two trees, its hard to beat the mods offered by Full Tal's.

Countess can drop up to Lo, but runes like Ber will need to be found elsewhere.

Also, where you play will be the primary factor of the cost of your gear - Ladder only runewords like Infinity can only be made on Ladder, so the ones that get converted to Non-Ladder are in limited supply and of generally higher value.|||Thanks for the help I read around a bit too looking at other stuff and I decided to respec an put a couple more points into cold mastery and am mfing meph on hell while only casting 2-3 fo. I plan I going full lite when I can get the gear for it so I'm kind of trying to avoid getting tal because I hate trading. I have bad luck or something I can over offer for something and still wait an hour for someone to join.|||I'd go ahead and get full tals now anyway....equipping a full light is a VERY expensive proposition. Not only will it likely take you a long time - you'll definitely get your money's worth out of your Tal's set while you wait - but the MF and killspeed afforded to you by Tal's will probably help you acquire wealth faster to save up for Infinity+Griffs+HotO+etc|||I'm well aware of how trading can be rough, especially this ladder on bnet - but like droid says its well-worth it. Running around in Full Tals is ideal short of an expensive collection of uniques, runewords, and rares. Since you already have the amulet, the only hard piece left is the armor, which should run an Um or Mal at most. The rest is can be purchased through pgems. Also, the trade forums here can help ease the frustrations a little of trading on bnet.|||If you don't want full tals, you can start by changing your que hegan's to a skin of vipermagi.. A low res one can be gotten for dirt cheap. That's if someone decides not to charsi it.

For my sorc, my res is maxed from small charms that give 8% resist and up.

If you go tals, a mal should get you the other pieces quite easily..|||hi all

curretly workong on cl/orb sorc

really good to read this.

have a tal belt for when i need to use it.

wanted to ask - what charms is worth having?
