Preference of Build for first higher level

As a disclaimer, I am not going to be playing ladder (at least not primarily), as the reset has left me with a ton of stuff I can use to make builds I never have before (Bad run on sentence)

What I have done in years past, since D2 was released and I was a wee lad I have leveled one character, usually a sorc (big surprise), before anyone else.

I finally have the gear to build a lightning sorc (griff, infin, etc)

I am very familiar with the meteorb build, have tals, occy, shako, etc and would know exactly what to do as far as leveling and progressing.

However, as I have never built a light sorc before, I wanted to know how viable they are for a first high level build of an account (followed by others).

Either way, both meteorb and light build will be made, but I was curious as to which I should do first.

Since your merc can equip Infi at level 63 there's no reason not to go full lightning. Charged bolt works well enough for the first couple of acts. TBH, since you have respecs it's tough to see what the point of your question is |||I can see why my question wouldn't make sense.

I suppose I was mostly asking which build would be the best for helping my other builds with gear finding, etc. As you mentioned, one of my concerns was low level viability, as I am hoping to avoid a rush. try the sickies. its packed with information about builds and leveling.|||Initially go frost nova/static. With twink gear and lots of fcr this is super fun and demolishes normal /p8 (and even nm to some degree). Then you have max fo with frostbolt synergy for easy /p8 nm. This will all be squashed at regular /p1.
