I screwed up my sorc

Hi, so basicly i screwed up my meteorb sorc. I wanted max block and lightning resist so i got a 3 socket shield with ptopazes. So i reset my sorc, put the shield and put enough dex for max block. So the problem is, the shield was a kite shield and i put 304 points and dex (it was night, was REALLY sleepy) and i didnt notice that i had like 200 life. So i wanted to continue to do my nightmare mephi runs and then i died in 1 hit and i noticed my health.

I have a spirit sword, 3 ptopaz armor (for more mf), lore as healm, fire, poison resists and +1 to sorc skills amulet, Cow-Kings hooves, 2 10% fcr rings and some lightning resists in them, mage fists, tal's belt and my mf gear is: On switch gull dagger + milabregas orb shielf and tarnhealm unique healm.

I have the runes up to ko without lum and a lem rune.

I was thinking of getting some +life charms but ive never seen any charms for life. The only one ive seen that its worth is +64 to mana and some other things. Any ideas on what should i do?

Oh and for the shield, in the morning i created an ancients pledge runeword. It was on an exeptional shield (not like last time xD) but it neads 90 str and I have only 47 or something like that. I used all my resets (don't remember why i used the reset from the normal dificulty).

Oh and im on the 3rd quest in act 5 nightmare, should i just continue to act 1 hell (which will be really hard because of my squishiness) and reset there?

EDIT: Forgot to mention, my merc has Insight war scythe, crown of thieves and a crafted armor (280 defense).|||I don't think it's good idea to go for maxblock sorc untwinked. You end up pretty squishy but you can see that for yourself. Some advices:

Nef + Lum = Smoke runeword. Wonderful way of getting 50 allresist. Very cheap also.

Shael + Eth = Rhyme. Rhyme shield is great when untwinked. CBF + 25@ and 25 MF is hard to top. It's even decent way of getting maxblock if you put it in good shield base.

Merc seems pretty stable but I would risk that Lem of yours and make Treachery. (Shael + Thul + Lem) Besides forti I think this is best merc armor. Deffense generaly won't matter.

You could try shopping for blue belt with ~100 life if you are patient enough. It would give you 50% of your current life, pretty good improvement if you ask me

You should also aim for 63 fcr breakpoint for now untill you get some better items. Magefist + Spirit + fcr rings of yours do the trick, but I would try getting 33 fcr spirit and use Nagelring for MF. They drop pretty often or you could get it at NM Andy.

I wouldn't really go for maxblock, but it's possible with Rhyme and decent shield base. I know this setup would cost you some MF, but for boss hitting, what you should be doing your MF switch will suffice.|||I dont have a Lum rune, lol.

EDIT: I found a 83 to life belt but it needs 60 streangth and i have 47 only. And while i was doing andy run, i killed a cold enchanced mob and i died instantly...|||Quote:

Shields like whitstan(and even stormshield) are really cheap, should easily get one on bnet, and way better for survival than max vita or the runewords. but yeah ~100 life circs/armors/belts/amus are very underrated and excellent for survial. you can shop low str ones from nm charsi&gheed(i always do that, as well as try to get a res prefix on em on untwinked chars ).|||Im on single player and use gomule (to mule and stuff) and rwm (to enable ladder only runewords). And i dont think stormshield is cheap, is it?|||Quote:

You may reroll charms with the magic item reroll recipe - magic item + 3 PGems. But you have to pay attention to where you get the charms you want to reroll, that is what area level you aquired them from. Here is an excellent guide to charms, it says there what affix level corresponds to what modifier, among other things. So, if you want a "shimmering" small charm (3-5% @ res), you'll need an item lvl of 47, which you won't get if you reroll a charm you got in Normal Act 1.

So, if you want to reroll charms, be carefull before you start wasting your PGems.
