hey i played diablo heaps a few years back on single player but so much has changed recently.
I decided to go with a sorc to play through the game and get some items for my next char but have NO gear.
What would be a good build to try out?|||Fire works really well up to act4, where their resistance makes it less effective. You can buy a 2 socket staff from drognan and make Leaf (TirRal) for uber-pwnage. I recently played untwinked (HC) through normal with charged bolt for bit of a change, and it worked great.
From about level 35 you can respec to frozen orb, max FO and cold mastery, then as soon as you can max fireball for the immunes you'll eventually encounter. Blizzard is another option and is the most effective build to MF with in nightmare and hell.|||ty for that.
Since i will probably go hardcare I really want slowed enemies all the time, so im thinking that blizzard might be good to use (ill just use the lower frost spells early on)
then i can get a defiance merc to tank with (hopefully if i can get the runes) an insight polearm.
Hopefully I can survive through normal with this but I spose I can just trist and tomb till lvl 30 anyways.|||I played hardcore untwinked through normal with charged bolt, pumped energy to 80+ before really investing in vita, played mostly at players 8 and mostly teleporting right next to enemies before attacking, and I had very few close calls. I've since died in nm act 4 to the infamous Gloam, but that's another story. Fireball is more effective and safe though and should easily get you to 24+ so you can respec to blizz.
The advantages of defense is dubious and the healing from prayer is really something, even without the double healing you get from putting Insight on merc.|||this build while not exactly untwinked is designed to start that way and mf yourself to the final levels. i found it worked well, though i did have a bit of gear by the time i tried it.|||ty for all the suggestions guys i think that the charged bolt sounds fun so ill try that till nm
