rate my meteororb sorc

[:1]goal: MF sorc that can run hell (mostly andy, meph, diablo, baal, pindle) and a rusher sorc.

105% FCR breakpoint

massive damage.

setup 1:

helm: shako (ist'd)

chest: fortitude DS

gloves: magefist

ammy: mara

2x rings: sojs

weapon: hoto

shield: sanctuary (or should i use a 4x ist'd mon)

weapon swap: 6 bo cta

shield swap: spirit mon/lidless (depending on what my end str is)

arach

setup 2:

same as above cept items listed here

2x fcr rings

rare sorc ammy that gives 10 fcr

enigma

(this setup will save me a point on teleport, give me str to use a monarch, and will give me massive MF)

invy: 40 mf gheeds

6x cold skill gc's

anni

storch

all res/mf sc's

merc: infinity merc setup (or should i use insight?)

i know there is better mf items, but i like high damage i like my mf where is it at now. so don't suggest items that sacrifice massive damage in exchange for MF

current damage:

about 1k orb

23k ish meteor

10k ish fireball

any swaps in gear? plz post.|||Why not vipermagi instead of fortitude in the first setup? It is way cheaper and gets you an extra +1 skills.

Anyway I'd favor the enigma setup - more MF, saves you two skill points, and lets you use spirit.

Infinity vs insight is sort of a preference thing IMHO. It isn't amazing for meteorb in the way it is for lightning. So it's just a choice between the power offered by extra damage from infinity (more so on fireball/meteor than on orb) vs the convenience of never having to think about mana offered by insight. Personally I like insight.|||I agree with magic rectangle on switching out the armor, fortituded on a Sorc doesn't really do much for you other than saving you the skill point in your chilling armor. All of my sorceresses utilize COH because it has nice res, 2 skills and 20 str. If you plan on using a monarch then definately utilize the str bonus that enigma provides and it saves you the extra skills for teleport as well. Also if you dont mind the teleport, Occy would still give you +3 skills but also provide 50% magic find, just make sure you still hit your breakpoint because Hoto provides 10% more fcr.

Your setups make no mention of what belt your using, assuming your not using arach this is what your fcr is looking like:

Original setup has the following fcr: magers 20%, hoto 40% for a total of 60%, you need at least 3 more to hit the 9 frame breakpoint. So make at least one gear change to reach the 63 breakpoint.

Setup 2 has 90% fcr by adding the rings and ammy, so short of the next breakpoint by 15%. Once again need at least one gear change to make the next bp

If you are using arach then no other gear changes are necessary, but I would still definately change out the armor at the very least. If you use setup one you can use occy with arach and still hit the 63 breakpoint, in setup two however you will not.|||Quote:

Fortitude has 25% FCR.

Anyway I was assuming he had arach and just didn't list it because he mentioned 105 breakpoint.|||hmm yes good call on the vmagi... i thought fortitude had +2 skills guess it did not lol and price does not matter, can get pretty much any item(s) in game|||Dang those random modifiers that I can never remember! XD Thats what I get for not looking up the runeword before posting.
