Jedi/Sith Lady Build

Jedi/Sith Lady Build

I was playing my Zeal Sorceress and watching Star Wars (lame, I know) when I decided to pick up a rare 2H I found. Equipped it for fun, and was amazed at the glowing red blade. With the ability to shock, stun, push, and grab things at a distance, the sorceress makes for an excellent Jedi base build. Wield a glowing red sword and you have yourself a Sith Lor—err, Lady... Sith Lady I was searching for a guide like this, but the closest I could find was an assassin using Venom. While she has more force-oriented abilities (psychic hammer, burst of speed) the sorceress is just cooler.

I decided to focus on a ‘Passion’ champion sword [-10] speed. I hoped this would help to reach max zeal speed, but the break points are still pretty bad. (calculated on top of the 25% IAS given from ‘Passion’):

30 IAS – 9/11

44 IAS – 9/10

60 IAS – 8/10

75 IAS – 8/9 (Our goal)

89 IAS – 8/9

129 IAS – 7/9

142 IAS – 7/8

Remember, that is IAS needed ON TOP of the 25% given from ‘Passion’.

Skills

The skills are adapted from a melee sorceress, so that you have the skills to shock, push, stun, and grab items.

Lightning Skill Tree

1+ Charged Bolt*

1 Static Field

1 Telekenesis (the skill that is never used! This will provide you with knock back, stun, you can open chests, grab certain items, access your stash, use waypoints and town portals. Definitely one of the most under used skills in the game)

1 Nova

20 Lightning

20 Chain Lightning

1 Teleport

1 Thunderstorm *optional*

20 Lightning Mastery

Fire Skill Tree

1 Firebolt

1+ Warmth*

1 Fireball

20 Enchant

1 Fire Mastery

Cold Skill Tree

1 Frozen Armor (Not needed if using ‘Fortitude’)

*Warmth or Charged Bolt can be boosted. Boost charged bolt if you plan to "use the force" more, so its stronger. Boost Warmth to synergize your Enchant, providing more Fire Damage (higher Min damage)

Equipment

Helm

'Dream' Diadem

I choose diadem because its all about style, if you want to go for a more evil/demonic look, use a bone visage. Don’t use a demonhead mask… unless you want to look like a goat. ‘Dream’ is what powers the glowing plasma of awesomeness you hold in your hand. It is a must.

Armor

‘Treachery’

This is the only way to reach 75% IAS. Other mods that are nice is the chance to cast fade giving you 60 resist all and "sealth mode"

Weapon

If you use a 1H sword in a phase blade, achieving the fastest Zeal is easy. However. If you want to do that, make a zeal sorceress and abandon the name of Jedi/Sith

‘Passion' Champion Sword

Giving you Zeal and 25% IAS (already factored in to the tables above)

Switch

'Spirit' + 'Call to Arms'/'Heart of the Oak'

I keep ‘Call to Arms’ and a 35% FCR ‘Spirit’ in the slots. A ‘Heart of the Oak’ is kept in the cube for some nice FCR for teleporting a long distance (to Baal’s throne room)

Boots

Use these to fill in resists you're lacking, FRW is very nice too.

Sigon's Sabot can be used here if you want to use Arachs as a belt.

Gloves

Death's Hand

This, coupled with Death's Guard gives 30% IAS! Also get +50% Poison resists and Poison length reduction of 75%.

Sigon's Gage

Giving 30% IAS when used with another set item. This gives you the option to use either the boots or belt from sigon's set. Using the boots allows the use of Arachnid Mesh for the +1 skills, FCR and mana.

Belt

Death's Guard

Giving you the Cannot be Frozen mod allowing for more choice in rings. With Death's Hand you also get +15 all resists.

Sigon's Wrap

Can be used to get the 30% IAS on your Sigon's gloves. Also has 20% Fire resist and +20 Life

Arachnid Mesh

Used for the +1 skill, FCR, and mana. Only use this if you are going for a slower attack speed or are using Sigons Gloves + Boots.

Amulet

Angelic Wings

Providing the second piece to a massive attack rating boost, it also give +75 life with the ring.

Mara's Kaleidescope

+2 All skills and resists. If you have no problem hitting, this amulet is better than Angelic.

MetalGrid

Less attack rating than you'll get from angelic, but more resists than you get from mara's. If you have this, it is a very nice option.

Rings

Angelic + Stone of Jordan

You will recieve attack rating and life from angelics, +1 all skills (allowing for a 5-zeal attack) and mana (for the force) from the Stone of Jordan. Replace the Stone of Jordan with Angelics if you need the extra attack rating.

Inventory

Sorceress Hellfire Torch

Annihilus Small Charm

+ resist all charms (5% Smalls, or 15% Grands) until you have maxed resists

Shimmering Grand Charms (not necessary, but give a nice boost in damage for everything you use)

Apprentice

Act 2 Holy Freeze

Helm

'Delerium'

Giving great CtC curses and crowd control. Using this, your apprentice overwhelms the minds of the weak turning them on each other and causing them to flee before your wrath

Other options include Andariel's Visage, Vampire Gaze, or any other helm you deem fit.

Armor

'Fortitude'

By far the best mercenary armor available at the expense of a Lo rune. If you can make it in a ethereal bugged armor you can get over 4k defense.

Other (cheaper) armors include Arkaines Valor, 'Lionheart', 'Duress', 'Smoke'

Weapon

'Infinity'

The main reason to use a mercenary at all for this build is for the use of Infinity. -Def and lowered resists will give you much more killing speed than any other mercenary combination out there (Faith Rogue will allow you to reach the fastest zeal speed)

Video coming soon!

Good luck and may the Force be with you (bet you didn’t see that coming )|||Tell me what you think!

Hopefully I'll get the legit (as in not magically procured SP stuff) on b.net done soon.|||looks like a very nice concept. are you certain that a champion sword will give you the most " lightsaberish " red glow? have you checked other 2-handed swords?

I am a slave to themes, and the "force lightning" is an amazing idea, I absolutely love it! You need to make sure you have enough +skills for it to be powerful, though. And since you are using no shield I think if you could somehow cram Energy Shield in there somewhere, that could make your Sith Lady a little bit more durable. It shouldn't be hard to bring it to an acceptable level using lightning skiller charms and a memory staff.

I hope you get the items you need, I might just build one such sorc myself. A nice concept and I think it can be very viable in hell. Good luck!|||I'm sure it was a mistake, but your forgot to add at least a point in Fire Mastery. There is no reason to not boost Fire Damage with it.|||Ah, duh. Fire mastery Thanks

Norrit, I chose the champion sword because of the base speed. It also has "reasonable" stat requirments. I've never been able to use ES effectively, but if you wanted to give it a go, I would like to see how it works out

EDIT: Norrit, I'm playing a Frozen orb/lightning sorceress on Ladder at the moment. Max CL, Lightning, and Mastery. I do decent damage (~9k Light and 4k CL) without skillers, and pretty lame gear.

Right now I play a full vitatlity Zeal sorceres what has really bad resists (all posisitive by ~10% I think) and I have no problems in Hell at all. I might try a phoenix shield on switch rather than spirit. You lose the +2 BO, and teleport FCR, but it might be worth it to recupe after a particularly taxing fight.

Laarz got me pretty much all the gear I needed

Just gotta find a Champion sword, download some video capture software, and make you a video of the build in action!|||I think death mask is the most devilish due to resembling this guy: http://www.twistedtree.org.uk/Goat_of_Mendes.jpg

Infinity is still better here than a faith merc, and I think ZWEIHANDER! (sounds cool when pronounced ) is cooler. Treachery is the best due to lack of faith. (Oh god, movie references.)

The last breakpoints aren't that bad. You will still hit so hard

Might make one if I get the wealth to do it in SP.

Also, consider Ormus' robes as possibility in your armor choice. They're robes, black and have + dmg, try to get a one with enchant in it.

Your phys. damage will be pitiful no matter what forti you would wear. Treachery is your best bet, even a regular enchantress would wear it.

(Drools at the idea of a dual wielding sorc using 2x Cryptic sword passions....)

As a side note, you should use a stormshield /w maxblock on your zealsorc It's an insane shield to use with such a heavy melee hitter.|||Quote:

Also, consider Ormus as a possible armor. It's black

Ooh, Ormus? I'll have to try that. It would go well with Arachs and more of a Force-centered build. I plan to play more melee.

I'll test Treachery + Infinity as that will be easiest with my gear on b.net. the Treachery I have is in a dusk shroud, so that might look cool too, hopefully its not too slow. It would be more Emporer/Vader-ish.

Did you see the picture I linked in the title? Thats what I was thinking

My only question with treachery is will the venom look (green blade) override the Enchant. If it does I'll make the treachery in an Archon or Mage plate and just go Jedi rather than sith. You can't be sith with a green lightsabre (unless you have 4 arms)

EDIT: Jeeze Nurman... Edit 3 times in there lol.

Is there a way to do multiplayer in single player? I want to do a Sith vs Jedi fight Even if its sorc vs sin, it would be cool. I supposed Open b.net could work too, but I have no clue how to play that.

I suggested the fortitude for the chilling armor and FCR. It will save you the points and help you hit a breakpoint. I was testing it on my Zeal sorc yesterday, and it worked okay. Lowered my resists significantly though. IF sorceresses could dual wield Can you say Ayla (the blue squishy headed dual-wielding jedi person)

EDIT EDIT: Using Treachery you can get 90 IAS and hit the 8/9 Zeal... Thats not too bad. Definenelty gunna try that. Probably end up changing the guide to Infinity merc and 8/9 zeal, then you got Holy shock pulses, thunderstorm, and your lightning doing damage on the immunes, plus the lowered defense will make attack rating less of an issue.

Thanks Nurman

Ooh... Where am I going to get the +skills for a 5 zeal attack without Chains of Honor?

+1 from Passion

+1 from Highlords

+1 if I use arachs instead of IK

+1 Annihilus

Then I'll have to use a BK in place of Carrion. Thats too bad, I liked the twisters.

Could also find a jewlers archon plate, one that is black... Put 3x 15 IAS/15 resist all jewels and 1x Cham in it. Chances of getting those jewels are slim though. I've got a Jewlers plate of the whale that has regular 15 IAS jewels in it, I might try that too, but the red is ugly. Possiblities possiblities...|||Ormus' Robes is black only in your character screen, I think the actual sorc would still look the same "naked" look that all dusk shrouds give. If you want a sith-looking armor, look no further than corpsemourne or guardian angel (the latter is actually good armor, so I'd pick that and try to max resists somehow).

I was looking into it and I might be able to get away with some decent ES, but only by using heavy prebuff gear. The upside is that I can get +all skills or +sorc skills and prebuff both ES and Enchant quickly. The downside is that I would do a somewhat crappy job at prebuffing both (as in, not going as high as I can in their levels by not using +3 fire/lightning skills ammy/helm and no ormus' for prebuff either) but I think that is something I can live with.

consider the following prebuff gear (staff is theoretical at best but bear with me):

+2 sorc/all helm (shako)

+2 sorc/all ammy (maras/seraph's)

memory staff (+3 ES +Enchant base)

+2 armor (arkaine's/coh/enlightenment)

magefist gloves (+1 fire)

+2 sojs/bks

+1 arach

+9 lightning skillers

+1 anni

+3 torch

total enchant: slvl 40 (20 hard points + 20 skills)

total energy shield: slvl 31 (zero hard points, 86% absorb If I remember right)

I could squeeze in another 3 or 4 +skills to reach level 35 ES (90% absorb) but I believe level 40 enchant is already quite low considering fire mastery will not have that many points in it to boost damage so I wouldn't go that way. If I could somehow afford some 5-9 hard points into Energy Shield I could make her absorb be as good as it gets, but no telekinesis to make it more efficient. still I think it might be worth to pursue such a goal especially because then I could be more relaxed as far as resists go, which is good when going 2-handed and it doesn't put that much of a stress on my gear.

I will do some testing with those ideas and let you guys know |||video is up, she played well. Not as easy as my Zeal sorc, and you can't just jump into packs and slash away

Still fun, I ran countess and her lightning damage is respectable. Zeal damage is great!

Video on legit stuff coming once I find a champion sword.|||Nice idea. But, to give you more options (and not even only playing sorc), take a look at this ->http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Force_power. Read about some of the powers... For instance, Force Combustion is awesome. Remember, The Sith "experimented" with The Force for countless millenia, finding new ways to mold it into different weapons. After all, they DO actually want to bring peace to the universe (hard to believe, but true), albeit under their own iron heal lol.

With so much Force Powers and Force Techniques described, many combinations and bulds spring to mind XD

P.S. Oh, and, Griswald's edge is one handed sword with cool red glowing blade, and so is Hellplague. Later being pretty awesome for leveling melesorc. If you have some SW related questions, pls feel free to pm me. I will be glad to answer them, as I am certified SW P&P GM.

P.P.S. Watching SW isn't lame. It is AWESOME XD
