Blue-only Sorceress!

Recently I got a 3 fire/20 fcr coronet. So I had a crazy idea: make a magic-only sorceress! (no uniques, no rares, no runewords - just magic items!)

So, I visited Arreat Summit and took a look at the magic item affixes and suffixes. Here's a list of the items I gathered:

• +3 Cold Skills/20 fcr circlet, hope for 2os from Lazruk.


• Jeweler's armor with +life or +24fhr


• +3 Cold Skills/10 fcr amulet


• +30 mana/+100 life belt


• +40 frw/+40 mana boots


• +40 mana/+20 dexterity gloves


• +10 fcr/+112 mana ring


• +10 fcr/+15 resistances ring


• +3 Cold Skills/+3 Blizzard/+3 Cold Mastery/+3 Glacial Spike/+20 fcr orb, those usually come with +mana/+hit points auto mods. Also hopefully Lazruk will give 2 sockets to this baby


• Cold skillers with as much life and/or fhr to cover breakpoints.


• +all resistances small charms, possibly with life.


• and finally Jeweler's monarch of Deflection, the infamous JMoD.

In addition, jewels that give +all resistances/+life will be probably the best, as resistances will surely hurt.

I was kinda disappointed, because she will cost a fortune So I made her in single player. She currently has 20 blizzard/20 glacial spike/20 ice blast/20 teleport, 27 total cold mastery and the 1 point wonders.

Numbers: 5k blizzard, 1k glacial, 1100 life, 430 mana, max block, 68 fcr, 42 fhr, 50fbr.

Why I opened the topic: I need suggestions for cheaper alternatives and more experienced people to check if my items are able to drop, since I only made the list consulting Arreat Summit, they are just theoretical.|||I think Larzuk gives only 1 socket to magic/rare/unique/set items, the 2os on magic/rare items is granted by an affix.

Edit: I checked and I was wrong.. Sorry then, ignore that part.|||i used on an untwinked sorc a 30/20 20@ bone shield with 2 socs and 2 PDias -> nice block and 58 @. very cheap and relatively easy to get, also lowers ur str needs a lot -> more life

alternative artisans shield of deflecting -> 57 res and nice blocking

with that many + skills u don�t need a 3 cold 3 cold mastery orb, go for an 2 sorc 3 blizz 20 fcr 2 soc, that should be easy to get and decent enough for -100 res

maybe u should try to get some res on boots, belts and gloves (don�t know how good ur res are) cuz nobody will keep such items to sell them. u�d have to find them urself

i�ve seen several people sell rings/amus/circlets/orbs/armors like that, so u can get them without too much a hassle

if u want to lower the cost of ur build, try a fully synergized orb/ES build. u don�t need to worry that much about res and u can buy cheaper charms|||Yeah you could probably go for a "chromatic <whatever shield> of deflection" with 2 sockets for resists, unless you plan on faceting the Jmod.

also, do you need +mana on boots? I'd say FHR/FRW are more important, not sure if they can both spawn in a magic item (maybe they're both suffixes, I don't remember)

Finally, your life/mana seems a little low. How did you spend your stat points exactly? Assuming all that blue gear, the only thing that absolutely requires any strength at all is the Jmod which you can get rid of. If you can then find a Jeweler's Gothic plate that only requires some 70str leaving plenty to spend on vit.|||fhr yes indeed... frw? sorcs have teleport they shouldnt be walking at all!
